Here are some alternative ingredients you can consider if you want to further customize this recipe:
- Egg subsitute: For a vegan option, replace the egg with a flaxseed or chia seed egg (1 tablespoon ground flaxseed or chia seeds mixed with 2.5 tablespoons of water).
- Milk: Choose your preferred milk, whether it's dairy milk, almond milk, soy milk, or oat milk. The choice depends on your dietary preferences.
- Oat flour: if you don't have oat flour, you can add in blender oats and blend for a couple of seconds. Alternatively, you can use whole wheat flour, coconut flour, almond flour, or a gluten-free flour blend for a healthier twist.
- Protein: You can use any protein powder you like such as casein, whey or vegan. Cookies & Cream flavour goes really well with this recipe. You can get yours here. If you prefer not to use protein at all, replace with oat or all-purpose flour.
- Baking powder: You can replace it with bicarbonate soda
